Was fun!

Best aquarium I've been to! Recommend getting there early. We waited an hour to get in and that was with a city pass. The other line was three times as long!!

Very good experience. Tons of individual exhibits from around the world and very well done. Penguins are cool.

The beluga whales were a special treat to see! We enjoyed learning about the many different species housed in this aquarium!

On our third day so much snow fell we spent a few hours here. Though probably half of Chicago thought the same as us we had a great time. The exhibits were interesting and the dolphin show was fun to watch. Would I visit again? On a snow day, yes, sunny day, no.

Get there early before the crowds and buy your tickets before the day you go. Otherwise you will pay a $15 charge for the day for a ticket purchase. If you go a couple hours after opening you will wait in line and outside. We waited for over and hour and half of it was outside. And it was cold... More

Shedd is always great but gets really busy by lunch. Plan to make it a morning visit from 9 to 12 and pre purchase tickets.

We visited the aquarium on St. Patricks day and I am guessing the nearby schools were on spring break because it was packed. We had bought tickets on line ahead as we had read about the lines, be we still had to wait in a will call line. Luckily we went shortly after opening so the line was short. By... More

This used to be one of my favorite places to go in Chicago. I say used to be because it is very expensive now.

My teen daughter and I decided to visit the Shedd Aquarium over spring break. Our travel plans were a bit iffy, so we couldn't pre-purchase tickets. After going online the morning of our planned visit, we discovered a $15/person additional day-of fee for buying online (on top of the current $30+ fee per person for a BASIC ticket with no... More

We visited the Shedd Aquarium during a recent trip to Chicago. It was superb! We enjoyed every inch of the Aquarium that we were able to explore. We did not allot enough time to cover all the areas so we will return. What an amazing place.
