This is one of the best museums you are likely to visit. We spent the whole day wandering round the museum and still didn't get to see it all. The dinosaur exhibition was my particular favourite as i love anything dinosaur related. Its worth the admissions alone to see SUE the amazing T Rex skeleton. My only bad point was... More

I had been to quite a few museums in this country but the Field Museum has been the best so far. They have a huge and diverse collection of exhibits; enough to keep the visitors engaged for the whole day. We had planned to stay only for couple hours but even after spending a good four hours, we could not... More

I enjoyed the fact that this Museum was near other tourist attractions and you could get off the tour bus conveniently at the door of museum and hop back on once tour completed ✅.

We took the Amtrak train from Detroit area to Chicago with 4th graders. I was hoping the museum was going to keep the adults engaged and boy did it deliver! It's simply wonderful. The presentation is top notch! We went on a Tuesday and yes their were school tours in the building, UT I never felt it was too crowded.... More

Pretty nice museum if it wasn't for numerous parents letting their young children pretty much ransacking the displays, sad.

We loved our time at the Field Museum. However, we should have given ourselves more time. We arrived around 1p.m. and we should have gotten there when they opened. Our group of 6 were all over the age of 20 up to 50. We are not big Museum fans. However, we loved this trip. We could have stayed for hours... More

Don't try to see it all. Feet get tired, teenagers get crabby. But this place is AWESOME for us nerds who live to learn about old stuff! Some thoughts to make your trip more pleasant: 1. Eat lunch early (like 11:15.) you will avoid the major crowds. 2. Bring a little Kleenex in your pocket. The bathrooms are overtaxed and... More

It was a really enjoyable and educational visit for our family. It was very busy, but it flowed well and we were able to see all the exhibits we wanted.

Took my son here on a Saturday. It was free day for Illinois residents, we can use it given the mess our state is in. He enjoyed the dinosaurs, native America exhibits, and of course the Egyptian exhibits. He is younger so we only went for a couple of hours. We got there early, slight wait to get in, but... More

On the flip side, Museum Campus offers cultural and educational experiences in its planetarium, museum and aquarium, all situated along the lakefront. Grant Park is one of Chicago’s premier locations for green space and recreation with views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline.
