The T-rex is being moved when we visited, but they still have very nice exhibitions on dinosaurs, mummies, and other things. The 3D movies are good too.

Absolutely loved the Field Museum. Wonderful dinosaur exhibit and that alone make it a worth while visit. Easily plenty to see for several hours.

Kids love dinosaurs, so do we the adults. For the first time we can be so close to the fossils, they even allow visitors to touch some of them. Another must visited room in here is the pyramid. But too scary to take any pictures...More

We spent about 4 hours here with young kids (elementary age) and it was good. It's a great museum in that it doesn't feel HUGE but it actually is very large with lots of great rooms and exhibits. You can see everything over a few...More

The building itself is world class. The inventory not up to New York, Washington or Houston (but well worth visiting if you are in the city)... except for the new paleontology exhibition... which is amazing... and if you are into dinosaurs, worth a trip to...More

I went into the museum mainly to get out of the blazing sun. I definitely wasn't disappointed. It has three floors of diverse history that will keep you entertained for most of the day.

The Field is so worth the trip. I really wanted to see Sue, but she was under renovation and getting her own exhibit upstairs. However, the rest of the museum was fantastic. So much to see and we learned so much. I recommend going early...More

The Field Museum is always a place to have an adventure, whether it is looking at pre-horistic animals, cavemen, animals and people from around the world. In particular, the Egyptian exhibit is always amazing and not to be missed. The museum is fun for all...More

It is hard to come to Chicago and not come see this museum which is immediately impressive just pulling up to the front steps and jumping from your cab or Uber. I am not a museum junkie by any means. Probably closer to the opposite....More

Lo, I like the way you think! It quite reasonably could have been called Sioux, but it was named after Sue Hendrickson, the paleontologist who found her.
