The Chicago Architecture Foundation (CAF) is a nonprofit cultural organization with tours, exhibitions, programs and events for all ages. Visit CAF on Michigan Avenue to view our 1,000-building scale model of Chicago, shop in our award-winning store, or participate in a fun LEGO® building event in our ArcelorMittal Design Studio. Choose from 85 tours by boat, walking, bus, or even L train, including the CAF River Cruise aboard Chicago's First Lady Cruises. Tours depart daily and are led by CAF's expert docent guides. Every October, check out CAF's free annual Open House Chicago festival. Proceeds from CAF’s tours and gift shop, as well as grants, sponsorships and donations, support this educational mission. NOTE: In preparation for the opening of the NEW Chicago Architecture Center, the CAF Store is temporarily closed. The store will reopen at our new location at 111 E. Wacker Dr. in early August.

We added the Architcture river cruise to our Big Bus experience and we’re so glad we did. Lots of information that you can’t get from the bus loop. Fantastic sunny day, but we sat down stairs in the shade!!! Really worth the 45 minutes

Even if you live in Chicago, branch out, see a new neighborhood. Enjoy the wonderful city that has such diversity. I’ve done Pilsen, evanston, winnetka, fort Sheridan, but Chinatown is so interesting. Don’t miss it!

Just a wonderful experience. Clean boats, efficient schedule and super informative docents. Don’t take a ride that’s cheaper- this one is worth every penny
