We enjoyed exploring the Magnificent Mile. Many good restaurants and upscale shopping opportunities. The traffic was a hassle. We enjoyed the area more by parking our car in a convenient parking garage and spent the afternoon walking instead. It was a nice day so this...More

If you want to shop in Chicago this is where you have to go. It's full of shops and you can get horse rides by watertower place.

Lots of walking. Can do the beach thing, rent bikes to explore, go out in a boat...or just shop til you drop. Lots of options. Shops are upper end...not the place to go looking for bargain. Great way to spend the day.

It is just a shopping street. For those who live in a big city, you are all familiar to where is the main shopping street where you live. Magnificent Mile concentrates all the American major brands! Try to go during sales times.

Too many incredible attractions to waste your time shopping Most stores have nothing more than you can get anywhere else Nothing exclusive to Chicago Better off visiting architecture tours, the river, the museums... etc.

Let me start by saying, I am not a shopper....and I would NOT shop here. It is hectic, too many people, too much noise, too much everything. All the big names are represented but the people on the street do not appear to match the...More

Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan
Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent
Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago
River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out
neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the
place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with
shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and
dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale.
