What an amazing place. You can spend the whole day here just walking around. Lots and lots of shops, boutiques and restaurants. I actually thought it was perfectly safe to walk around the mile.

We came here for the American Girl Doll Store, but ended up visiting many other stores as well. There is so much here in one place it is like a shoppers paradise. Definitely coming back for my Christmas shopping!

There is everything from popcorn shops to high end clothing and everything in between. Restaurants, candy stores, a Harley Davidson store, snack shops, Walgreens, Hard Rock, a 2 story Target, lots of "Anchor" stores, beautiful architecture & awesome scenery. Very beautiful city landscape, with nice shopping and several restaurants in the surrounding area. If you like walking, take an extended tour to Lake Michigan - the north beach is awesome

With 2 teen girls, we really enjoyed a day of shopping. Many upscale shops, but some more "down to earth" price wise shops. Something for everyone from Tiffany to lego, American girl to Nordstrom, forever 21, adidas, north face, apple, and tons more! We spent...More

Walk it once if visiting downtown for the people watching and architecture. Better restaurants elsewhere in city.

Classic duds at Brooks Bros. or funky T shirts & Disney toys. Whatever you might need or want it can be found here. Many choices for snacks or meals just steps away. Three malls; Nordstrom, Water Tower & Bloomingdales & many small shops.

Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan
Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent
Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago
River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out
neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the
place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with
shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and
dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale.
