Lincoln Park Zoo is a unique treasure in the city of Chicago. It is a fully functioning Zoo that is completely free and open to the public. Zoo goers can delight in viewing a wide range of animals and learning about their habitats. The Zoo hosts a variety of activities on an ongoing basis, one of my personal favorites being... More

Great zoo especially since it's free. Parking is really overpriced but if you can get their by bus or taxi it's a great low cost activity for the family. Zoo is definitely on par with those that charge $15-$20 per person to get in.

Since my daughter moved to Chicago a year and a half ago, we visit the city about every two months. When we don't have any plans, we seem to end up at the zoo. The animals are always great entertainment. They are not just sleeping in a corner. They are very active and making people smile.

I dont remember the last time i was at this zoo but i really enjoyed the Zoo lights. It was cold but the hot cocoa and adult hot drinks made it much nicer to be outdoors. Wish there was more animals out but we plan to visit when weather is nicer.

This was our 3rd visit to LPZ in the past few years. I took my 3-year-old and 6-year-old sons. This trip we parked across the street at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Center in the $20 lot and walked over because we visited the Nature Center first. In the past we have parked in the zoo parking lot for the $25... More

Great idea to make the zoo totally free. Lots of space to walk about. It was a nice Feb day so it was pretty crowded but still easy to see all the animals.

Zoos are always a hit with my family, and Lincoln Park Zoo is no exception. We found several Volunteers in different places to answer questions, several presentations going on with the animals, and today many animals were out, just like the people, to enjoy the rare warm temperatures and sunshine! The zoo is big enough to spend several hours in,... More

Went to the Zoo on New Years day - and was surprised how much fun it was. The Zoo was free - they ask for contributions (but it is hard/ impossible to find the place to make a donation...) - loads of animals and great exhibits - especially the Monkeys and Gorillas!
