Unusual and Beautiful Plants

Best for adults but with kids, they do not enjoy this as much. This is located in a separate building at the Lincoln Park Zoo.

I very much enjoy going to this conservatory, you get to learn a lot of new things about different plants, you can sit on the bench and relax among the plants, and best of all it's free to the public.

Visiting in December it is a bit chilly. Right next to the zoo. Like the fact they have signs that say "look", "smell". Try not to miss any. Don't forget it is free

Beautiful little conservatory we stopped at on a whim before the zoo. They were putting up the Christmas train exhibit and it was a nice start to our zoo trip.

Few out of town visitors are aware of this wonderful conservatory. It is adjacent to Lincoln Park Zoo, is very well maintained and has a great variety of gardens and plants. One warning: parking is nearly impossible on the streets, and the Zoo lots are quite expensive. So best to take a taxi or Uber if you're not staying nearby.

Awesome place for a wedding and reception! The $1500 rental fee is very reasonable, even with the $100 liability insurance.

The exhibits change with the seasons and holidays. Beautiful path through various types of foliage, ponds, and climes. Very educational if you take the time to read. Great outdoor garden, too. Free admission, but try to avoid school field trip days or school holidays. Some parents seem to think young kids running around are cute; news flash - they're not... More

If I am close by I always walk through. You can spend 10 min. or hours, up to you. The place is wonderful. I love being in there.

We were staying near Lincoln Park. We walked over to see the lovely views of the city and took a quick detour into the conservatory. It's on the smaller side, but has a lot of lovely orchids and friendly docents who are happy to explain fun facts about the plants. Would be a good place to take kids - they... More
