The city hall is in a gorgeous building that it shares with Cook County. The west side of the building is for the city and the east is for the county. The lobby is beautiful and worth a peek. The county side (which was built first) is much more spectacular than the city side. Both ceilings are gorgeous.

Ground floor lobby/corridors are spectacular. With all the vaults and arches it feels like you are entering into a sacral structure. There is a lot of beautiful details like lighting, signage, elevators, trims, mail boxes etc. One cool thing about this building is that there are 4 main entrances on each side of the building. I got married here and this will forever be a special place just because of that. On the outside it is gorgeous, but inside particularly not in the first level it is just another government type building.
