We took the water taxi when leaving Chicago to catch Amtrak. From Michigan Ave to a couple blocks from Union station. Was great to see the city one last time (this trip) from the river. Impressive! Will do it again!

This is a good way to get from Madison to Michigan Avenue, but the boarding area is hard to find and Google will walk you around the block endlessly.

We used the Chicago Water Taxi to visit Chinatown. The ride was comfortable and the price is excellent. I would definitely recommend the Chicago Water Taxi.

It's a real shame they don't operate more frequently, but we very much enjoyed taking the water taxi to Chinatown (mmm, dim sum). The views were worth the price.

If you are thinking of getting to the Shedd Aquarium from the Navy Pier then this is the best way. And the views of the Chicago skyline from the boat are wonderful.
