The place is in the W hotel (and it is not a great W) BUT, the service in the living room is exceptional...even if the decor is a little cartoony and ham-fisted. Our server stopped by at the perfect intervals with the best suggestions. I guess it is true that people truly make the experience. The small plates are trying... More

This bar is in the W hotel. We enjoyed cocktails here on a Thursday evening and Friday afternoon. The bar was never crowded and the service was top notch. The bartender went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. It is a trendy bar with a fun ambiance. The mixed drinks were awesome but were... More

This bar is in the middle of W hotel. It has nice atmosphere and decorating. The drink selection is good.

I really like this bar and try to stop by whenever I'm in Chicago. The atmosphere is classy, and they have a great wine list. Very few hotel bars serve Stag's Leap Cabernet by the glass. Caution: while the wine (and beer) selection is top-notch, the prices are a bit frightening. There are, however, a couple of wine selections at... More

I ate and drank at the bar here, which is part of the W hotel and more casual than their IPO restaurant. The beers are over priced and the food is good. A pint of tap beer (local brew that is very good called green line) for $9. I ate calamari and a chicken sandwich. The calamari was a bit... More

This place has a great atmosphere, very Alice in Wonderland with its giant lamps. Lots of private areas to sit, and additional arm chairs upstairs. They have a specialty cocktail list, around $15. If you are staying in the hotel, look for a coupon in the room to get a free one. I tried one that had red wine, tequila... More

Pretentious, discriminatory to people w/ children. Ordered over priced but good tasting drinks at the "living room." We're served by a very rude bartender. The children accompanying us were ages 1-6. After we were charged for the over priced drinks (we even stupidly tipped the guy) we were asked to leave. We were told "the kids were disturbing others". Guess... More
