I only felt here a little bit too poor and too young from the main crowd. I liked the bar at the entrance who one can use without going to the theater st all. Very convenient especially when husband wait for his wife because he doesn't want to see the phat with her.

A wonderful community theater with great history and heritage. The play, "Visiting Edna," was well acted and hit the heart. We dined at the accompanying restaurant/bar, I think it was called Front Door, wonderful food and an array of drinks. Not a big menu, but what we ate was great and plentiful.

Steppenwolf has a long history as a respected theatre company and is definitely recommended if you want to see a talented cast perform a contemporary piece of theatre. It's a bit out of the way of downtown, but is worth the cab ride. Check out the website to see what's playing -- it'll be better than some cheesy musical. :)

We had purchased tickets for a show on the third floor, which happens to house the theater for young adults. Very reasonable price! The Burials was good with multi-media support plus sign language interpreters. Staff was good, and so was the venue. We didn't stay for the after-play discussion, but that is another option.

We have attended Steppenwolf for many plays and it is never a disappointment. The acting is always excellent and set designs follow suit. Both the main stage and upstairs venues offer great seating with good views of the stage.

We have been members for 30+ years and tonight found two impressive actions in addition to the high caliber of acting and stage set. I arrived when my cell phone lost its charge, which I require for child care. Anna, offered to charge and secure it for me. We relaxed in the wonderfully comfortable setting, enjoying wine and staff circulate... More

I saw the highly-skilled Steppenwolf company bring out all the nuances in the dark comedy, Between Riverside and Crazy, during a recent trip to Chicago. I missed seeing this play in New York, and can't imagine a better production than the Steppenwolf one. The theater is just a short ride on the Red line from the Loop -- about 15-20... More

Unfortunately, our season tickets are at the end of the run so I don't bother to post a review because the play has ended. On Saturday we saw Between Riverside and Crazy. Excellent play and the acting was top notch. We had season tickets at the Goodman too. Steppenwolf's set designers are superior. What they do with the space is... More

I've never been disappointed at Steppenwolf. The venue is fantastic - what a great space. Plenty of food and drink options nearby, an L stop, and a bar in the lobby! The show "Between Riverside and Crazy " is excellent. Very good cast but really loved seeing Walker's versatility. And you could just feel the chemistry in the cast. See... More

I have been going to Steppenwolf for years and this was one of the best plays I have been to there. The actors were really good and the topic was very timely. What I love about Steppenwolf plays are they make you think. While I go to musical plays elsewhere these are great to make you think about life and... More
