Buckingham Fountain was dedicated in 1927 and is one of the largest fountains in the world. It is modeled after the Latona Fountain in Versailles. It is in operation from April to October. Four sets of sea horses represent the four states that border Lake Michigan (Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan and Indiana).

Beautiful. Stunning. One of the worlds largest fountains to be found in Grant Park. This was built as a memorial in 1927 at a cost off $750K!

The fountain is so big and pretty!! Once you see it there isn't much to do. We heard it lights up at night but we didn't get to see it.
