Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My husband and I and our good friend were able to see August Wilson's "Fences" at the Wit.
The theater we were in has very limited seating and is very "up close and personal". Very "readers' theatre--esque". Great for one side, probably not so great for the other side. Luckily, we arrived early for the open seating and snagged great seats.
The cast of "Fences" is awesome! Every actor was mesmerizing. We've seen the big screen version and I have to say Denzel and Viola get a run for their money from Kamal Bolden and Shanesia Davis! Always better live!

Incredible show with an incredible actor and directorship. This show needs to go to Broadway and to London’s West End; the story needs to be shared widely and learned from.
Congratulations to all involved.

It is unfortunate for Chicago to lose what was once a nice theater. It has become very political with its views and untrustworthy with contracted agreements.

This theater canceled an event literally the day before after a bunch of people had flown from all over the country to Chicago. Businesses that to business like this don't deserve to be in business.

All I can say is WOW!
A huge cast, all incredibly talented, and in sync with each other on a deceptively small stage which magically transforms into the Grand Hotel, Berlin,1928, on a truly grand scale.
The presentation and staging were simply dazzling even as the cast acted as the true movers (literally) and shakers between and during scenes. The singing and dancing = Broadway ready!
Initially, I thought the almost 2 hour show without an intermission might be too long but, not so. Time flew by with no thoughts of the time... nor the restroom.
Do not miss this show!
Reasonable parking adjacent to the theater.

Came here to get in the Christmas mood. Nothing wrong with the theatre (have been here before for good shows). However, this one man show we saw (the way out of Santa land) was a sham for those of us expecting some Christmas cheer. After the opening song there was nothing Christmas related. Felt like this was a coming out party for gay activists. Not homophonic, would appreciate if it wasn’t cloaked in a Christmas theme. Felt duped. I’m not an idiot.

Saw Marie Christine show tonight, 10/21/17, and it was really good. Must of had a dozen actors plus live band. Great singing by everyone, very original show with laughs and drama. Just got back from London and saw many shows and this was on par with some of the best I saw.

Is the theater handicapped accessible?
We have Rummy Bumpo tickets for Oct. 14th and have not been to Theater Wit before. Need to plan. Thanks

Tho' I was not consciously aware, I recall that the theater we were in (for Grand Hotel) had seating at stage floor level.
Access to the venue- no stairs.
Enjoy!

Not sure what you are asking, we attended the Wit Theatre, ate across the street at a great restaurant but we took the red line from the city out.
