Relatively new (and expensive) this walk is right along the river. A great view of many buildings, and several cafes bars and restaurants to choose from for a break! Not the cheapest of places to eat or drink In the city, although views of the...More

Enjoy this meandering walk for what it is...a below grade respite from the busy city above. Several spots to enjoy the waterfront ambiance

We visited riverwalk on a sunny summer day. The view along the river with the highrise building surrounding it reminds me of a canyon with a river at the bottom. The stores and restaurants abound.

It was fun walking along the Riverwalk, talking a look at the cast iron bridges that span the river and the tourist cruise boats and kayaks on the river. The buildings along the river was a veritable museum of American architecture, and an excellent backdrop...More

You already know the Riverwalk even if you don't think you do. If you've ever watched a film or television program shot in Chicago I guarantee someone stood at the street-level balustrade, with the city behind them, and said something funny/profound/ridiculous. With good reason: ever...More

A relatively calm and peaceful place in the middle of the big city. The Riverwalk is divided into sections. For example. A place for theater, a place to honor Vietnam's war victim

Recently were downtown and walked along the Riverwalk for the first time. It was really pretty and I can see this being a fun way to spend an afternoon. It was pretty chock-full of millenial types, especially around City Winery. So buyer beware LOL.Very nice...More

Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a
good starting point to sample the city's energy and
flavor. This central business district boasts
Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier
shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep
your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many
photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of
Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of

There are a number of places to purchase beer and wine along the river walk however none stand out as places to stop for local beers.
