Spent a couple of hours there before my flight out. I was amazed at all the plants and how they were arranged. The rooms were beautiful and so were the grounds.

I was lucky enough to attend a wedding on the grounds. The flowers, foliage, and general upkeep of the grounds is impeccable. I would have been happy just to have an hour or two to wander.

Come and walk quietly amidst the ferns and fauna. Take a step into another world. Can't list all the flowers. Just come spend the afternoon. Go back for me, I don't live nearby. Take your kids, look for dinosaurs. We lost count at 14.

The conservatory is a lust plant filled greenhouse. There is also paths and gardens outside to see. You can take the green line toward Harlem and get off at Conservatory stop then walk 1 minute. Check it out.

This place is free to the public (recommended donations of $5/adult). Flowers and plants are beautiful. Some areas for kids, looks wonderful for party events. Plenty to see, and a great way to spend a slow hour or two.

How big is the Conservatory? About how long should I plan to spend to slowly walk through it?

I would plan at least two hours. It's not enormous, but there are so many books and crannies to explore. We anticipated an hour and it took almost two.
