We had a pleasant stroll through part of the park near the Museum of Modern Art. There was playground for kids and some modern art pieces too.

This park is just a block off Michigan Avenue and is a great spot for little ones to enjoy. There are a variety of things to climb on and swings. Benches are also available for adults. They have two different sections of the park based on the age of the kids. A fun place for all to unwind in the... More

Sometimes kids just want to play in a playlot and I'm so glad that this one is close to our hotel. The one at Lake Shore is farther but more crowded, it also looks like residents are 'regular' there and that the children know each other. It is also located near the shops so in case your child needs to... More

The park has two playgrounds next to the historic but operational firehouse and is great for kids under 10. There is also a Deborah Butterfield sculpture and a number of benches that are perfect for taking some weight off your feet to rest.

Staying in Streeterville

Neighbourhood Profile
Streeterville
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
