Stopped off after walk round church and Hell Hole Rocks. Pint of Peroni and Bacon Fries were much needed. Not much to say really other than traditional pub. Was quiet Friday afternoon so not much going on really. Good songs on in the background.

We visited the White Lion on walk up from Hebden Bridge. Heptonstall is lovely and well worth a visit. The White Lion is a traditional English pub at its very best. Good range of drinks and pleasant beer garden.

Great menu for all and delicious, well cooked and presented food. We visited 3 times because we loved the ambience and the friendly service. It’s a quaint spot up the cobbled street of pretty Heptonstall

I'm always looking for good independent pubs that serve great food cooked on the premises and actively avoid chain pubs that churn out 'plastic' factory-produced food. This is certainly in the former category by a long way. Enjoyed a range of interesting gins, a traditional...More

Yes, well behaved dogs are welcome here an in many other pubs. There is a coffee shop down in Hebden Bridge, called "The Lamppost" which caters especially for dogs and their owners.
