Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had heard a lot about this tea factory. Unfortunately we visited it on a Saturday, the factory was shut and the site was very busy with visitors. Our guide rushed us through the silent factory and was not very informative or helpful with the questions that we asked her. Her English was not very good and she seemed to be hell bent on getting us up to the tasting and shop area, it was all very rushed and the tea was not cheap. I would not recommend this place, we passed numerous other tea factories in the area, so it might be worthwhile try other ones if you want to visit a tea factory.

This place is attached to the famous tea bush hotel. Lovely place and nice staff. The atmosphere was scenic and misty. Good high quality tea products at fair prices. Dining available.

The best hill view hotel. Rooms are amazing and view can make you stay there forever. But cleanliness and food wasn't to the mark. Though staff was friendly and helpful and got our room cleaned. Being veg we didn't have options for breakfast. Bf is a set menu. Overall 3 ratings.

We were so ready to buy some tea!!!! And our tour had been great, just the right length and factually interesting. Loved the tea tasting, but then the products disappointed. As we were buying the tea for gifts we opted for the tea that came in pretty labelled bags. But after a long wait it transpired they’d run out of bags and just wanted to put everything in Earl grey bags- « no thank you ». We rethought our order to come up with a contingency plan, but it really was a shame that we couldn’t get what was originally on offer. I was also initially surprised that we couldn’t see any tea plantation tiers from here, although we then passed hundreds on our way to ramboda falls.

The tea factory is right next to the hotel. The girl who showed us around was excellent in her presentation and presented the tour very well.
At the end we had some fresh tea and bought some too. However the pricing is very high compared to alot of the tea places. Definitely a must visit if you are passing by.

This was a very interesting lesson on Tea processing and packaging. The museum was very educational and informative. Then after your tour you go upstairs to the shop and sample teas and shop. Great fun and good for the entire family.

Neat place to break the road trip. Who knew there was so much to learn about tea. The shop was well appointed but a little expensive. Recommended
