It was great to hear the life story of an individual that is almost forgotten in history now. Very influential individual. The tour guides give a very vibrant depiction of this individual and they many things that he did for our country. Don't miss it.

This was my favorite place in Galena. The history will blow you away! It is only open on Fridays, so plan accordingly. This is a "don't miss" historical site when in Galena.

Our tour guide was thorough and knowledgable. The house is faithfully restored to much of its original state. The 30 minute tour was just enough to make us want to learn more about Mr. Washburne.
