We visited during spring break 2018. It was a beautiful day for March as we didn't need any coats. Obviously we didn't do our research but we thought this would be a relatively simple trek. In recent years I have become older and a couch...More

one of my favorite trails! It's challenging up and down the canyons along the streams. A couple of great lookout points as well. It took us 2 hours and we didn't really stop. It's a fun one

Wow! What a hike. We started on the high side and followed the map to the main look out point. The hike there was very mild. We even passed a family pushing a baby stroller. We then continued and made The Descent down and we...More

Visited recently with my husband and 4 year old son. My husband had frequented this location in college, but it has been a few years so we did not come fully prepared to take on this overall hike. Most of the hike is chanllening, including...More

Enjoyed the 3mile loop. Signs claimed the route was flooded, however, the trail was very accessible and my daughters were most disappointed the waterfalls were pretty much dry. Still had a great trip, worth the hike to see the bluffs.

We visited the Little Grand Canyon -Illinois just outside Murphysboro Illinois. This is a nice trail to experience rugged hiking. Getting in and out of the Canyon is a challenge as you have to go down/up the same rocks/ route as the water flows. There...More

I have learned after almost 60 days touring Australia, that many trails in this country can be pretty difficult. Of course difficult and hard are very relative terms. For some people that are both tall and very fit this trail is not difficult and they...More

I was excited to make this hike, even in 90 degree heat. However, that excitement soon faded when my wife and I found ourselves a bit confused on where to go. We started the trail at the north end of the parking area, which began...More

Love this place! It isn't for the faint of hearts though. Take good hiking shoes and be prepared to walk some steep grades. The Canyon is so pretty with all the moss and it's amazing that this was once where the Mississippi was. We were...More

Little Grand Canyon was beautiful, it took us right under 2 hours to hike the entire loop. The trail was very difficult and we are by no means skilled hikers, however, the trail was definitely worth it. There are several narrow and rocky areas on...More
