There are several trails within this park, some paved and some meandering through the woods. It was good exercise and we'd definitely go again when in the area.

Great State Park. Lots of boat, kayaks, canoes. About 87 miles from downtown Chicago. It's very nice place to relax. A lots of hiking and biking trails. Playgrounds, picnic tables, fishing. Park is huge. Spend a whole day with the family and enjoy the narure.

Tent camped two nights here and was very happy with the campground and the shower facility. nice hikes and lots to do among the beauty of northern Illinois. In a bad mosquito year the bugs were nearly non existent here.

Beautiful park. We've been coming here for years. They recently extended the bike path and there's great hiking trails throughout. Lake is nice to canoe in. Camp sites are nice, too.

Visited the Camp ground for 4 days in end of June. the RV sites are very un-leved in the 100s sites, and some of the sites are very small for some of the big RV's. The bath facilities weren't bad at all. The State Park...More
