I've been on the Channel Cat many times and it's always enjoyable. My favorite thing to do is to get on the boat in Moline (where I live) and get off next to the Village of East Davenport. Then we walk to the Village and shop and have lunch or ice cream, then whenever we are ready we walk back... More

Board the ferry at Moline River Drive. Cross Mississippi to Davenport's East Village[walk to food, shops...]. Again take ferry around north end of Arsenal Island, to Moline Wireless Center[TGIF's], Finish last ride at Moline River Drive.

your ticket gives you unlimited rides for the day. Get off at one of the many stops, explore....get back on and ride some more.

The Channel Cat Taxi provides a nice smooth ride providing a great view of the life on the banks. The price is pretty reasonable and the views are great.

Had 13 family members here from Arizona, took them on the "Cat" they enjoyed it so much we took 2 full round trips. You know there is not much water in Arizona!

Make sure you bring a light jacket, it gets windy on the boat. Also bring some light snacks for kids. It's not the most comfortable ride, but it is a fun thing to do to experience the river and the area in a whole new way.

The seating was bench like. I had a cushion to set on. About an hour for the entire loop! It was fun for the three generations that went.

We love the Channel Cat. Spending time on the Mississippi? Relaxing and refreshing. In addition, it's a wonderful way to get around the Quad Cities. If you're in the Quad Cities, take the Channel Cat...don't forget to sing "Ole Man River"!

If you have not used the Channel Cat, make a point to do so. You can hop off and on at various places or just stay on and ride the river. Great way for out=of=towners to have a chance to see the mighty Mississippi. Examples of stops are the Isle of Capri Casino in Bettendorf and TGI Fridays in Moline.
