I am so glad to have this gem in our local area. It offers an unbelievably wide range from kids dance classes and language classes to comedy nights, brass bands and art exhibitions, chamber concerts, beer festivals and fantastic pantos!

Went on spec. to recent live music event (Stevie Heger) while I was staying at a nearby hotel for a weekend break. Very friendly welcome and nice, intimate atmosphere. Excellent value ticket to see top rate professional musician. Got the impression it was well supported by the local community which is always good to see. The only downside for me was that the coffee from the bar was instant!

I found out about the Bollington Arts Centre from the concerts page of the Belcea Quartet's website. The Belceas are a top international quartet, and a concert by them is a major event for a local arts organisation. Once I found out where Bollington is on the map (!) I was very happy to make a 170 miles round trip for the concert. And it just got better and better, because Bollington itself is an interesting place, with a river, a canal and a brewery, and the arts centre is a very cosy little place with real beer in the bar, and excellent coffee and sandwiches available in the interval. I was made very welcome, and managed 3 spontaneous conversations with regulars in the audience, which by my standards makes it a very friendly place. The acoustics are very good, the programme is incuded in the very reasonable ticket price, and the rest of the concert season was also of a very high standard. Parking is limited, but easily available on the road outside the Arts Centre itself. Bollington Arts Centre punches well above its weight, and I thoroughly recommend it to you!

A friend and I recently went to a talk on 17th Century Beauty Practices,which was held at Bollington Arts Centre. Having booked on the last minute this was no problem as you can book online. What a fantastic afternoon we had as we were told of the weird and sometimes deadly beauty practices common in the day.Sayings which are still in everyday language made more sense once their origin was unfolded.The whole room sat entranced by the speaker.Tea and cakes were available afterwards, so all in all a thoroughly enjoyable time was had by all. !

I recently visited this Art's centre in Bollington, Macclesfield. It's a fantastic opportunity to see works of art from various artists. The Arts centre is in an old church which is a perfect place to visit

The Arts Centre hosts a wide-range of events, covering all tastes - children's shows, classical music concerts, pantos and other theatre productions, the comedy club, bands and musicians, art exhibitions - all with a bar on site. For such a small place, the number of events is fantastic. It's also home to lots of local clubs/groups, and is available to book for private events. We're very lucky to have such a thriving centre at the heart of our community.
