This state-owned commercial stud farm also incorporates the world famous Japanese Gardens and wild Irish St Fiachra's Garden as well as the Irish Horse Museum, Living Legend's, Gift Shop and restuarant. It is also home to some of Ireland's most famous racehorses.

Went to Irish Stud today and must say a wonderful time and the 40 minute tour that starts at the top of every hour is a must Very inexpensive and a must if you are in the area

There is plenty for kids - check the website but over the summer (July & August) on I think Tuesdays and Sundays they have extra activities such as pony rides and face painting in addition to the playground etc.
