I am in love with lighthouses, especially the ones in Maine. Every time we visit, we add more to our list that we have visited. Doubling Point may be a small lighthouse, but is still worth the visit. Yes, we got lost despite using directions...More

I'm not really sure why people said it was hard to find. We used Google Maps and had no difficulty. It's a great place to stop on the way to the beach. We saw it during a lighthouse cruise, so it was nice to be...More

Remote and a bit of a challenge to find, but the history and purpose of the house is one not many will take the time to learn. Recently reinforced and one of my favorite spots to take time for ME.

It is absolutely true that this is hard to find, and without the occasional sign pointing "lighthouse", at just those moments when doubt about this little excursion creeps in, it would be easy to say NOPE, let's go back to Bath and get some ice...More

This is nice lighthouse to see. Its small but peaceful. Its about a 2 mile drive down dirt road of route 127. There isn't much parking only enough for couple cars. Sign shows private road, but is open to public.

This is a quaint little lighthouse in an area with nice views. Half the fun is getting there! The lighthouse is out of the way and involves dirt roads. There is probably enough parking for about 3 vehicles. If you are hungry, not much further...More
