What does one add to the title that says it all. This is a must see area, a visit to the glacier lagoon, a walk on the glacier, a visit to the ice cave and a walk among both the fire and ice is simply a must. While many tour companies offer these, you can easily do them yourself in... More

Out of all the things I saw in Iceland this was my personal favorite. I can't describe it, but the blue floating ice bergs in crystal clear water was just jaw dropping. It is a four drive from Reykjavik, but worth every second on the road because there is simply no other place on earth to see it. Rent a... More

Went there around 2-3pm when the sun was almost setting in the winter. The setting sun painted shades of orange, pink and yellow to the blue sky, with the lagoon water reflecting the colourful sky, it was just exceptionally stunning! We even witnessed the glacier moved, literally turned almost one whole round! The whole thing resembled a magnificent painting of... More

We had to be on our way to Reynisfjara so couldn't stay too long (winter sun hours are so short) but it was a fascinating scene. I know the weather forecast is so unpredictable in Iceland, but still a day with some sunlight made everything more better for viewing. I didn't like the big tour groups stalling in the parking... I wish i was able to describe just how incredibly beautiful this place was. I do have photos so please look. I could have easily spent a full day here just admiring the beauty of the Lagoon and the Glaciers in the water. It's without a doubt a "Must See"

This lagoon is one of the most beautiful places i have ever visited. Worth going there. Try the zodiac trip to get closer to the icebergs. Also try to walk on the black beach and look at the beautiful pieces of ice that sparkle like huge diamonds

You may see a waterfall in anywhere. You may see a high mountain or snow or a beach in anywhere. But a glacier is extremely unique. This was the best nature miracle I've ever seen. If you had a chance to go to Iceland, this is the best and original visit point.

This place is absolutely stunning. We arrived after our ice cave tour and I remember my first view of the lagoon with all the floating icebergs was just incredible. Definitely worth a visit.

This is one of the 'must see' sights of southern Iceland. The glacial lagoon full of icebergs is stunningly beautiful but the backdrop of glacier and mountains is what makes it so majestic. Make sure you dress warmly as its very windy with a high chill factor - and be prepared to take lots of photos!
