A nice and beautiful temple. You feel in peace there. Because I'm not a religious kind of person I didn't know and realized that there was a temple and a religion that concentrate congregated and opened to all religions. A place to visit for an hour.

Stunningly beautiful building, architectural wonder, and iconic for the northern suburbs. There are only 7 Bahai Temples in the world, and the religious information is offered through their educational center. Visitors can find out as much as they want, or as little as they want, about the religion. Beautiful garden and surroundings.

Stopped here for a brief time recently with a group of tour planners. I was stunned when we walked up to it. The architecture is amazing and unique, so intricate. Inside, in the auditorium, you cannot speak or take pictures, and it was great to sit quietly and look at the inscriptions and just soak in the peaceful atmosphere.

If you are a Chicago visitor without a car, you can take public transportation -- the CTA purple line to the Linden station. It takes about an hour from the Loop and brings you to the Linden Square business district. There are a couple of places to eat (JP's pizza and the small but mighty Alchemy Coffee House) and it's... I brought my mother (senior) and my nephew (wheelchair user) to visit this interesting architecture. Disabled entrance was not easily accessible. When we asked for directions, got vague and disinterested responses. There were people there and nobody helped us to get the door or find the restroom. By the way, the service that day was all about peace on earth... More

The Baha'i House of Worship is visually stunning, on the shores of Lake Michigan approximately 13 miles north of downtown Chicago. The gardens are beautiful and change regularly from Spring to Autumn. The new visitor center is a great addition to the property and explains the history of the building as well as provides context about the faith. It attracts... More
