The downtown is way past its heyday. Beautiful facades are going derelict and the predominant shop is the antique shops. Pity as a revival could see this town flourish. The story of Main Street America

There are about eleven antique or specialty shops in downtown Wilmington and about seven or eight restaurants or bars to stop and relax. You may find the antique or the collectible that you are looking for. A pleasant area grounded in the Route 66 legend.
