My brother and I stopped in for a tour of the Monastery of Immaculate Conception. Wow! What a beautiful place. I took pictures but none of them did the place justice. Our tour guide was Sister Mary Arlene. She usually works in the archives area....More
We toured the church and it was beautifully restored. The exterior was beautiful to walk around and you can see for miles. I see why the nuns call this “the castle on the hill”. Stop be the brewery for a beer after the tour.
The peaceful setting, beautiful historic architecture and aura of the sisters make this a great stop. I'm not much for gift shops, but they do offer nice religious objects for First Communion, etc. There is a brewery on the grounds, but it was closed when...More

Very welcoming and hospitable. Beautiful building and architecture. Grounds are well kept. The Grotto is very peaceful and tranquil (including steps for praying Rosary and Stations of the Cross). Great for meditation.
Our guide, Sister Christine, made our visit to the monastery an absolute treat. She was so generous in giving us her time and sharing her knowledge and passion for her home and her calling. We would have enjoyed just talking with her and listening to...More
