Was disappointed withe the new plan to charge admission spring of 2015 but still a great museum and makes getting a membership more logical. The outdoor (and still free to visit) 100 Acres (Fairbanks Art and Nature Park) is terrific - my young kids and teens enjoy visiting and running around - particularly if visit coincides with one of the... I've been to a lot of art museums and this was by far my least favorite. It was still a day well spent but there are better things elsewhere.

I appreciate fine art, but at 18.00 bucks a head? Not so much. I will say that I may have been too cheap to pay that ridiculous price of admission I did however see the lovely outside, the fountains, the flowers, the LOVE sculpture, and the museum is really pretty cool..$18.00 though...nehhehh

Again, I grew up here and visited this museum myself as well as bringing my own family here. The art pieces have grown to a very impressive display over the years, and I am proud to say it is top notch. This is one of the places everyone who loves the arts should go when in Indy.

It used to have free admission, which is great for broke college students like me. Now that they charge admission, I won't be going as often. The cost to be a member isn't bad, but I can't justify it when I absolutely hate the wiener, lysol, and yogurt cup displays in the American Art section. It ruins the mood of... More

I love the IMA, it gives you beauty both inside and out. I enjoy the exhibits, and wandering the grounds. IMA gives you the serenity for reflection and meditation. I love to think of it as candy for the eyes and mind.

This is our second trip to the museum and grounds. The exhibits are well rounded and beautiful. Right now, there are even interactive exhibit where you become the art. Don't forget to go outside and see more of the exhibits. This museum doesn't confine it's art to just indoors!

I used to recommend this art museum all the time. Admission was free to both the museum and the grounds, and there was much to delight the eye. But for some misguided reason the IMA instituted a hefty admission fee this spring, and bam! Way overpriced for what you get. Go somewhere else that isn't trying to pick your pocket.... More
