Was a little disappointed that we had to pay admission to a municipal park (I expect this at state or national parks). But we did enjoy bringing our dog here for a walk. Some decent views of Eagle Creek Lake and somewhere around 10 miles of walking trails.

I was in Indy along with my friend Aji George on a business trip, late October and visited this place on a week end (thanks to John April and family). A perfect place to walk, enjoy the nature and learn about birds. The small bird museum was superb. We walked around the lake, watched people fishing, cormorants and terns fly... More

The Eli Lilly family gave this park to our city. It has bicycle trails, water features, walking trails and lots of deer, birds- including bald eagles and herons and lots of green- specimen trees and shrubs throughout. A great place for a picnic, snow shoeing, jogging and getting away from the rat race.

Was there early morning and spent a few hours. It looked much better than the pictures here. Do not miss view from inside ornithology center or pretty much any water body around. Brilliant display of colors and water reflections make it even more impressive. Havn't had a chance for going on any trails but Red trail ( 6.5mile) seemed fun.

No matter where we go we love to hike and connect with nature. Eagle Creek park was a nice surprise in Indianapolis , really wasn't expecting great walking trails so close to downtown Indianapolis (20 minutes away). We did the blue trail, which took us about 3 hours but we stopped to take a lot of pictures around the reservoir.... More

The Marina was so pretty. We came during fall and the leaves changing over the water was simply stunning! So peaceful! Driving through the park it seemed like it was raining red, yellow and orange leaves. The trails were easy to navigate and again the scenery was absolutely breathtaking!

Eagle creek park has something for everyone in the family. They have a nature center, miles of hiking and walking trails, a pet area, swimming beach, a birding trail, even a small marina where you can rent paddle boats and kayaks. The lake is huge but only electric or less than 10 horsepower motors are permitted. They even have a... More

Eagle Creek is one of the largest cities parks in the US. We often gout to Eagle Creek for walks around the bird sanctuary or hike the many trails in the park. There is amply options for biking, boating, and kayaking.

I have seen all types of wildlife at this reservoir. Deer, foxes, beavers, coyotes - great place to go and clear your mind. Has a man made beach that does get used during the summer months, but lots of trails to walk and a great place to run or bike.

Great for swiimmng, pcinicking, hiking, zip lining, getting away from it all. We booked the park for our family reunion. The shelter was great, bathroom facilities okay. Park staff friendly. A great place to escape.
