Great place

Lots of variety (trails, decks, observation rooms, and ornithology center) and areas for kids or just sitting and drinking in the scenery.

First, this is a city park, not a state park so the fact that they charge $5-6 to enter is ridiculous since tax money already covers the cost of the park and rumor has it the price is going up again. The grounds and park itself are beautiful and a great place to bike around. It's generally crowded so it's... More

This is a great place to escape the city. You can play golf, or just enjoy nature with family and friends. it is located on the north west side of Indy and is readily accessible from the 465 beltway off of 56th st.

Great for hiking, biking, fishing. Clean with several shelters for cookouts .An annual Fall Leaf cook out destination for our family.

I'm a runner, and this was one of my favorite places to run growing up. Although it does cost to get in - assuming that there is someone at the gate to take money - you can get a yearly pass or you can "sneak in" by running in on the 71st Street entrance path that they now have, bypassing... More

We are bird enthusiasts and ventured here to view the local feathered friends. IT was slightly rainy so there were few people in the park. The bird viewing area is well marked and staffed by volunteers who are friendly and welcoming. There is an inside room to watch the birds and furry creatures feed at the stocked area. There are... I have lived by Eagle Creek State Park for more than 8 years and regularly visit at least 5 times a year. It is a complete oasis close to the city. The park has a reservoir for fishing, swimming, boating (for rent) and rowing. Fishing is excellent and both canoes, sailfish boats and paddle boats can be rented in the... More

This is a very nice urban park with good hiking, and a decent looking midsized lake. I think it was 1400 acres. $6 admission per car out of county.

I run in the park at least once per week. It's a lovely park with lots of deer and other wildlife. The nature center is worth a visit and there is a reasonable beach for warm weather. The go ape attraction is fun. People frequently fish along the banks. It's a nice haven of nature near the city.

Experience nature and take your time walking the trails and enjoying every moment in this beautiful place! Nice beach, trails and lots of places to walk, run and take your family to enjoy. Can't believe it's almost in the city, on the West side of Indianapolis off West 56th St, get an annual park pass too for savings!
