I love it here. Beautiful place to just go and have a walk or cycle. Great for the kids, lots of things to do. Me and my son love it... Can't wait for the tree top walk to be open again one day :)

As others have said, extortionate parking charges, which will limit our visit frequency, and poor signage. The Forestry Commission is government (tax payer) funded so how can it be right that users have to pay again to use a publicly funded facility? Government policy is to encourage outdoor exercise in public spaces, particularly during the Covid pandemic, so surely parking should be free. There is precious little in terms of facilities (no toilets other than at the over priced cafe, and no dog poo bins) that can justify town centre level car parking charges. There are a variety of walks in the forest but poor signage leaves one in fear of becoming lost. The signage seems to be set up assuming a one way system, you have to look at all 4 sides of the way marker posts to work out directions, particularly if you’re walking ‘against the flow’.

Even though it was raining the walk was lovely and calming. The tree top walk has been closed for a while now but it doesn’t take away from the forest. We walked the 5km and it took an hour and a half.

I came here with my partner last weekend to have a look around as he passes it every day to get to work. we arrived and it was quite busy. we parked up and had a walk round. the forest is huge and in different parts. there is a part In the forest for the kids, a cafe where you can get light snacks and drinks, toilets, that were very clean. the only thing I will say is that there isn't many bins around to put rubbish in. lovely forest where you can bring a picnic and have a walk around with your partner, family, kids. we will be returning. absolutely loved it.

We were in the area and popped in for a quick walk ...... Ok actually 7 miles! At first we thought the parking was high but when you see all the paths beautifully set out and the sign posting , you realise it is worth every penny . You can by a season ticket for I think £35 ....... £6 for a whole day, you can pay £6 to pay to shop in MK !....So not sure what all the fuss is about the charges. If you keep away from the cafe area it is lovely and quiet and so well set out . Paths that are great for bikes , mobility scoots or prams so accessible for most people. We live miles from the woods but intend to go back again in the next week. Well worth a visit , a great place to walk off that extra weight.
