Outstanding natural features. Love, protect, and respect them. Be ready for rugged hiking so you can experience the best of the trails. This place is quite special.

We love turkey run. Trail 3 is our favorite but rough if you have real small kids mine however love it (ages 9, 7, 5 and 3) If you go to the nature center it isn't much but in the mornings at 10 you can help feed the birds, one of my kids favorite things. My kids also love to... More

This park is big and has lots of different activities. You can hike the wonderful trails, swim in the huge pool, kids can play on one of the small playgrounds, there is LOTS of open space great for frisbee or football, eat in the park restaurant, hang out in the lodge rec room or game room, spend a night in... This place is beautiful! The hiking is moderately rugged and a good pair of hiking boots is suggested, but we had a blast. There are some wet slippery areas, thus the good boots. The area of Rock Hollow is gorgeous and fun to explore. Would not recommend for very little children unless you want to carry.

This is a fun place to hike. We had a picnic and then hiked for about 4 hours, which was about right. The "very rugged" trail #3 was interesting and tricky at points (some boulders and slippery stream beds to navigate, along with a few ladders to climb) but it wasn't grueling or dangerous for our group of teenagers and... We were visiting relatives in Indiana and originally stopped at this park on our way to Indianapolis to see the covered bridge that is a part of the park. We ended us missing the road for the bridge (which can be seen without actually entering the park) and paid to enter the State Park. So we decided to hike and... More

Is it the biggest park, no. A fair amount of people here, generally, is it an awesome place to go hiking and see some very unique geology in some beautiful woods, on a beautiful fall day, absolutely!

We reserved the tennis court picnic shelter for a family reunion. The weather was perfect. The restrooms were close and convenient. The restaurant in the lodge was excellent.

You won't believe Turkey Run State Park is in Indiana. Beautiful old growth forest surrounding canyons, rocky bluffs, and the remnants of the ancient Michigan river. The best part is you can hike any of 12 trails. A neat suspension bridge spans scenic Sugar Creek on the way to the hiking trails. There are rugged as well as easy trails... More
