    Well worth a visit
We did a road trip from Adelaide to visit after seeing it as a featured location on MasterChef earlier this year. As my Mum is a fan of cactus and succulents it was the perfect spot to visit. She enjoyed the time spent there. We were treated to an amazing display of many cactus in full flower. The cafe food was great. Highly recommend trying the Cactus Icecream

    A very unique place
This is Australia’s largest cactus garden. There are 12 acres to explore. My wife and I visited this unique garden during our recent holiday in Cobram where we stayed at the RACV Resort for four nights. We were here at the opening time of 10 am and were the only visitors during the next 30 minutes, before a few other customers arrived. We walked across the entire garden and were the only ones during most of the walk. By the time we finished, there were a lot more people in the garden. Very glad we were early.

    So special! The Passion Project.
Great I had been wanting to visit Cactus Country for a couple of years . My daughter suggested we go together. We agreed as it is a 2.45h drive that it would be good to stay somewhere overnight before we visit. It’s great that the tickets were all day tickets which makes the experience more relaxing. The Mexican style buildings, music, art, was great. The staff were friendly and very helpful. It’s been going since 1988. Check out the video tour of the place by the founder/owner.

    Well worth the trip!
A phenomenal, fascinating and absolutely stunning place to visit! Would especially recommend visiting in Oct/Nov when the Cacti are in bloom! The cafe is lovely too; the Cactus fruit cake & ice cream was a tasty new experience for us, and we really enjoyed the Nachos & jalapeño cheese sticks!

    Unique & fun
Long drive from Melbourne but worth the experience. You don't realise how many cacti types are out there till you walk around the mazes. They supplied hats, umbellas and water for free on a hot summers day. Huge range of cacti for sale and a nice small gift shop with a restaurant. It was Mexican themed which I wasn't aware of from registering, but was a fun surprise, also had some fun cactus themed food made from their own grown plants including honey.

    Cactus Heaven
Went early because the day was a scorcher - sombrero and parasols provided for extra shade. Lucky enough to go when lots of the cactus are flowering and it was a beautiful display. Used the useful download to identify some of the plants. Great couple of hours walking around the site and finishing off with tacos! Highly recommend!

    cactus country day out
My 26 year old daughter and I visited for the day. We spent 5 hours leisurely enjoying the cactus garden, taking many photos, having a drink and some delicious nachos. The staff were so lovely and friendly. There is plenty of space to roam in the gardens that you don't feel crowded. There are some lovely souvenirs you can purchase - you can even buy a cactus if you choose to. It is a wonderful place to visit and take your care away for a day. It was a clear sky and warm day too!

Cactus, cactus everywhere, a rare delight to see!
It was an awesome experience. We love cacti and succulents, and this visit booked online was a highpoint for us, for 2024. We wondered through the gardens starting with sections named pink, blue, white, purple, orange.....etc We were given a map by the lovely lady at the reception and directions on the sections with the most flowers at the time. There were cacti we had never come across before - some like snakes, some as tall as a mature eucalyptus tree, some like the many headed cobra from Indian mythology, some naturally shaped to different formations. They were certainly a delight to see. The sculptures of Mexican amigos and others strewn across our path, certainly added additional beauty and value to our total experience. At the end we sat down in the coffee shop to eat the delicious cactus cake and drink a chai latte. The cake tastes similar to a carrot cake and is served with cream and honey. We didn't try the cactus ice cream (but in retrospect we wish we had!). The area is being developed and there is a pink domed structure up a slope that gives an aerial view around the gardens. This is a good photo opportunity. When we were leaving, we noted the cacti plant sales area and purchased a plant that was unique to our garden! We were certainly two very happy people that day! The imagination and drive of the founder is certainly amazing. This is a visit that must not be missed if you are passing through the area.

The range of cacti was extensive and impressive and and well worth seeing. although it was not quite the same as walking the Sonoran Desert in Arizona. The entry price was far too high even though it is a place where you can purchase various succulents which also are not low cost. The other negative was the lack of signs describing the cacti. Overall good, could have been better and pricing is too high for that but purchase plants.

Thanks so much for your feedback, unfortunately due to covid we can't hand out our guidebooks so we have put it online. This allows people to read about the plants as they wonder the different regions. Hopefully you'll come back in the future, we have lots of expansions and improvements underway :)

This cactus garden in rural Aus is remarkable. A gardeners and artists delight! To have such passion and commitment is admirable, it takes years to create such an amazing space, towering cacti and the Spanish style Cantina is unique. Lovely nachos and friendly staff.

it was good generally, especially if you simply want something different. But when I went there, it's a bit of wrong and good timing at the same time: good because it's flowring season, so you got more colour splash into the scenery, wrong because it was just a couple days after a very bad wheather. I believe it's the main reasons why some of the cactus fell and the fact that it was raining on the day I went there made the walking trail a bit muddy. there's barely any place to defend yourself from the rain once you're in the middle of the trail so that's my biggest negative point. other than that, it's just small stuff that not necessarily big enough to be complained about and I generally enjoyed my time and my cactus cuisines. you love cactus and succulents? give this place a shot!

Really unique and fun day out. The cactus are amazing in real life. We visited during the flowering season which made for some special photographs. The nachos (especially the beef) was surprisingly delicious. They also had a huge selection of cactus plants for sale, much better than what we could get in the city. We spent about 4 hours there.

My hubby and I went for a visit but didn’t foresee that it’s going to rain on the day. Despite that, we still enjoyed everything there, from the variety of indoor and outdoor cactus plants, to the sumptuous food in their restaurant, and to the friendly staff there. The rain didn’t stop us from enjoying the place and we’ll definitely come back (when we have another same day off again).

This was the second time visiting Cactus Country and again it did't disappoint. As a cacti enthusiast I thoroughly enjoyed strolling through each section. The amount and variety of cacti is very impressive and the cafe is gorgeous (although not a great variety of food). Our whole group had a fantastic time.
