Make sure you are dressed for exercise and wear good shoes. The two walks worth doing are not easy, and the steps are uneven in places. To do the two main walks you need at least 2 hours unless you're super fit, as it's about...More

We used to do this walk years and years ago and then we moved away ! In that time it’s become very popular and there are times it almost needs traffic nights ! Not for the faint hearted but a great workout

Ill be honest I expected there to be a littlw something more at the top. If your after somewhere to go to raise your heart rate, this is the place. But theres not much beyond a good place to exercise and some nice memorial pieces...More

The steps are quite strenuous. This is a popular walk and can get busy on weekends and holiday time. You might see native wildlife along the way.

Informative display, a worthwhile effort to climb the "1000" steps (I think it's about 700 or so). The steps are a little rough in places, so you need a reasonable level of fitness. But the display is at the bottom / start of the trail,...More

I come here regularly. 1000 Steps - Kokoda trail is great for exercise! I usually take the road less traveled (other tracks). Kids playground. BBQ areas. Cafe. You have everything close to nature. Friends. With family. Perfect location.

Its great there but if you want a car spot you have to get there early, instead of the 1000 steps there is plenty of other trails up around there & less crowded, but overrall is great & get rid of your earphones & listen...More

Wow we came today and expected it to be a tough walk and we weren’t wrong. It’s a long way up and takes a lot of effort. However the way down on the path is easier than steps. It’s very very difficult to park because...More

I visited here to challenge myself with the known 1000 steps while admiring natural surroundings of the forest. Arrived at 6.40am to an already busy car park (not packed like it can be on weekends). You have a few choices, left or right trekking, right...More

This is my second trip to Melbourne to visit my friend and she suggested this walk when I said I wanted to exercise. We were both pretty unfit and plenty of old ladies charging past us put us to shame. Great walk but not much...More
