My husband and I stayed on 9/21. Our hotel room was very clean and comfortable. The Amish tours were led by Molly. She was amazing. Very kind, patient, all around great lady. The wagon ride and carriage ride were just as fun. We also had...More

We watched the play Happy Days in the Round Barn then had the buffet dinner in Threshers Dinner. Both were very good. The roast beef and ham were great.

Mostly gift shops with fudge ice cream baked goods cheese and Amish stuff. Everything you want to see is charged a la carte. Can add up quickly and will cost about $80 a person to see and do all including theater. You can get hotel...More

Based on the website, I thought this would be a 3 to 4 hour visit but I did it in half that. The pre-tour 30 minute video is interesting, especially if you know nothing about the Amish and Mennonite cultures. We went inside 2 old...More

I didn’t have too much time to spend there so I didn’t get to see everything. Their website suggests that the house & farm tour takes 1 – 1 ½ hours. However, the tour is split into 2 parts: a 45 min guided tour of...More

We spent an afternoon here. The tours were very informative and interesting. I would recommend visiting if you are in the area.

We recently went to Amish Acres because we were in the area. We assumed it was a museum similar to Conner Prairie in Fishers, Indiana. We were disappointed. There are things there to do but individually cost money. A large portion is outside or requires...More

I think it's about 175 miles from Palatine, so probably arouond 170 from Arlington Heights. Took us just about 3 1/2 hours, but we hit some of the morning traffic around Chicago. (We left our house at 6 am).
