This museum outlined the history of the town of Santa Claus. I learned quite a few interesting facts, including that this is the only town in the world with the name of Santa Claus. We especially enjoyed the display of letters written to Santa Claus...More
It’s worth coming here if you have kids that want to write letters to Santa. The museum itself is not really worth a trip. The desk lady was nice, but there is just not much here worth seeing. There are some interesting stories, but I...More
Cute little museum that tells the story of how Santa Claus Indiana came about. The sad part is that at one time this probably was a quaint little town, that had a nice story to tell and had a reason to come here, but not...More
It’s a small museum so don’t expect a lot. Still, some great history information:) Small selection in gift shop items, desk clerk was polite and friendly:) No COST:) Donations are excepted in the church as you enter and at the wishing well inside the museum....More

Fun little stop to learn the history of Santa Claus Indiana. I have no shame in saying I wept reading some of the endearing letters to Santa on display. The statue alone is worth a photo opt. So if you're visiting Holiday World, be sure...More
This was a fun place for my son to write a letter to Santa and to take a few pictures. The museum was okay but not somewhere I would go twice. My son was sad the train exhibit didn’t work. Staff was very friendly.
I would consider this museum a “must stop” for adults visiting Santa Claus Indiana. Here you learn how the town got its name, how it turned into a tourist attraction, and how it has grown to be what it is today. Fascinating for history buffs.
While you are in town, a really small town, to visist Holiday World, you should take a little break to stop in and see the Santa Claus Museum. It only takes an hour or so to see it, and I think most people would find...More

It is free. You can make a donation if you wish but it is not required. I think the suggested donation is $5 per family. The donation goes to help with postage costs because anyone can write a letter to Santa and get a response mailed to them before Christmas at the original post office next door.
