While in Cedar Rapids visiting family we found part of a day to visit the NewBo area. The area appears to be where things are happening with the development of micro breweries and good food. After tasting several brews our group started a quest for food. Our search led us to a pub called New Bohemia with food. Upon entering... More

There is tons to do and since the flood they have really developed the Bohemia District. There are tons of new resturants. I would recommend checking out NewBo as there are fun shops and you must try That One Cupcake Place. Their cupcakes are amazing!!!!

The New Bohemia District, or NewBo as the natives call it, offers many great restaurants, a huge marketplace, galleries, shopping, a world-class art and music venue (Legion Arts) and more.

This was my first visit to the museum since their move and it is just beautiful. I truly enjoyed the special exhibit and will go back to see traveling exhibits.

Since we went in the winter, there wasn't much happening and several stores were not open. We did eat in the Meat Market and had a very filling meal for a reasonable price. Bought a couple kolache at the bakery and they were good but a little pricey.

We went to the Czech Village to visit Sykora Bakery. The street cute and had it not been so cold we might have explored more. Lots of resale shops. Sykora Bakery was well worth the trip.

Our mission was to see all the Grant Wood statues before school started again and the NewBo area was one of our favorite stops. Found some goodies in the NewBo Market, wandered through the book store and ended the afternoon with ice cream at the Great American Ice Cresm Shop. A destination worth exploring!
