This was a fun experience to ride the trolley elevator to the top, for a wonderful view! The cost of $3.00 for the "roundtrip" was worth it!

Quick trip up to an awesome view! The wait wasn't long to get to the top. You pay at the top, cash only no credit cards.

Its fun to ride the elevator and see the view from the bluff. It's worth the few dollars. We only spent about 15-20 minutes here.

It's not a long ride up and down but it is one that you will want to take just one time.It is amazing that this elevator has been running up and down to take commuters back and forth to and from work which is what it was first intended. Now it is more a tourist attraction as it should be.... More

My husband and I go every year for our special ride. We have been doing this for over forty five years. The scenery is just so beautiful from the top. We also enjoy talking to the person who works there. They are all so friendly and sometimes they share stories from long ago. Also....check out the house next door. So... More

I remember riding this elevator when I was a young child and loving it. Recently, while in Dubuque for a family gathering (20 years later), a few of us took a quick detour to relive the elevator experience. We had four of us and one had never been on it before (and was terrified). However, she rode the elevator and... More

I love when the cable car claimed to be "the world's shortest and steepest scenic railway." And indeed, it is short, but fun. The ride already starts quite differently from most of the cable cars in the world. When you board from the bottom, there is no staff. You enter the car on your own, sit tight, and ring the... More

We weren't sure if this was worth paying for but we are really happy we did it. The view from the top is awesome. The people running the elevator were VERY nice and VERY helpful with info about what we were seeing. A must see in Dubuque!
