Very informative museum with lots to see and do. We enjoyed the exhibits and the interactive conservation exhibits as well. We had the opportunity to watch the NatGeo Extreme Weather show in the 4D theatre and although the seats are a bit squished, the show was great. We would definitely recommend this museum to anyone passing through. It took us... More

We enjoy our day at the river museum. The kids especially enjoyed the stingray touch pool. The makers space was a huge hit too!

Took our grandkids to the dinosaur exhibit this past year. It was fun to take the kids and see it. At the beginning of the year they had the titanic exhibit and that was informative and neat to see as well. They always do a good job. Kids love to run, roam and touch everything there. Lucky for us grandparents... More

The museum was highly rated here on Trip Advisor, so we figured we'd give it a try. Admission is a little bit pricey, but the exhibits, aquariums & staff make it all worthwhile.

Lots to see for all ages from animals to boats to ecology. Interactive - touch fur and fish, activate flood events, climb aboard a ship. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They have a live animal show once per day but they don't mix it up (it's been an armadillo for quite a while and it's not much of a "show").

Going to the National Mississippi River Museum & aquarium was the highlight of our trip with our three and a half year old great grandson. We enjoyed everything but being able to pet the Stingrays was fabulous! We love the alligator and tortoise! We will go back!

No matter what age the Nat. Mississippi River Museum is a delightful place to visit. There are exhibits for all ages. If you like interactive exhibits, there are plenty. If you like to read and learn, there are those exhibits too. There are movies available too, plus hands-on discovery are, and many aquariums. There are 2 big buildings full of... More

What a fun place Iowans should be proud of! Our group ranged in age from 22 months to 84 years and there was something for everyone. We got admission as part of a package deal with Grand Harbor Resort and Waterpark about a block away (across a parking lot). Even so admission is reasonable $15 adults for a two day... More
