Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We went there on a Friday so I thought there would be less people hiking up the mountain. But to my surprise only the two of us were there all along the way up from Pantai at the entrance to Gunung Berembun to Gunung Telapak Buruk and back. Started at around 8 am reached Lata Berembun easily and started to hike up to Gua Kambing. That was easy too until we passed Gua Kambing the route was up and away.... Managed to be at the peak of Berembun at 1030 am. Not bad and decided to go to Telapak Buruk, We have prepared ourselves if we have to hike back at night with enough food and water and headlamp. The weather very windy and quite. After an hour reached the crash site and took pictures before continuing to Telapak Buruk where he had our lunch. It was 230 pm and departed back at 3 pm. Journey back although would be much easier but still more ground to cover. Keep on going till we reached Lata Berembun around 730 pm. Few trees fell down and block our way and have to walk around our way through the dark. The trek was not clear after crossing the river with little marker available. Luckily managed to get our bearing right to the starting point. Arrived around 830 pm and was very hungry. It was a very good long hike.

You can hike without a guide
The real hike start after u have crossed the river..first 1km is just a normal walk.
6000 mtr to Gua Kambing
5000 mtr gunung berembun peak (no view)
At least need 2 n half to 3 hrs from registration counter to Gunung Berembun peak. Plan your time wisely if u want to hike to all the 3 points considering descending time as well.
Note:
At least another 1 n half hrs from Gunung Berembun peak to WWII Plane Crash site; and
Another 3 n half hrs from Gunung Berembun peak to Telapak Buruk peak
Conclusion. It's damn tiring depending on your fitness level. Good place to practice if u plan to hike mount KK.
Enjoy~

Probably the most unforgettable experience. We started the hike at 8.00am and all went well.
The way in is from tele-tower which we went up with lorri. The view on our way up was amazing with cold and cloudy weather. Love the scenery of Telapak Buruk, the crash area. After few hours walk, we arrived at the Berembun Peak. We had a lunch before we move to Gua Kambing. By 3.00pm, it was a heavy rain. Luckly I was with the guide and my 2 girl friends took a shelter inside the cave. After waited the rest of team quite long, turn out one of friend was injured, unfortunately. Without reason, she couldn't walk (mystical reason). It getting late. Without enough equipment and unable to contact someone for help, we made a stretcher from wood to carry her down. It was 9pm, but we still 4km away to exit. We reached at the Lata Berembun but the flow too heavy. We were tired and injured. We really didn't care of pacat anymore. Yes they are welcome to suck our blood. Then we made a decision to split the line-up into two groups. I was with first group; 4 girls and 2 guys went down leaving the rest of guys with injured friend. At 12.00am, we reached at the guide house. Second group safely arrived at 1.30am. Praise the Lord, everyone was safe. Berembun is beautiful mountain to explore. But bare in mind, this is not our place. We were lucky to have this extraordinary and mystical experience. The best thing, this taught us meaning of brotherhood and cooperation.

If you are planning to conquer Gunung Berembun, crash site and peak of Gunung Telapak Buruk, please remember to prepare for possible rainy weather and bring along a torch light or head lamp. Went in yesterday, heavy downpour started around 12-1pm, the jungle was getting darker and darker as we were getting out of the jungle. A few other friends who were making their way out from the TM tower at Gunung Telapak Buruk didn't have head lamp with them, and it was pretty dangerous to hike in the dark. So, be prepared physically and mentally if you want to do this challenging hike.

Gunung Berembun & Telepak Buruk | Negeri Sembilan
Highest Elevation: 3914 ft | 1193 m
Trail: Leeches✔ The trail was relatively moderate, just a bit long a total of 28KM back and forth. Inclined parts of the trail were tolerable and there were markers which provides the distance left for you to reach the checkpoints.
Moderate to Hard Level Hikers.
First peak is Gunung Berembun. If you can reach here before 11pm you can continue to Telapak Buruk where you will get to see the left over parks of the plane which crashed here. Many big parts and specimen all around. A sight to behold.
We started at 8am and finished at 8pm due to rain which slowed down our return journey tremendously.
