Traveling through the Wilds of Eastern Iowa, my wife and I were referred here by some friends. The views of the river are amazing. The mounds are nice too! Be sure to hike to Bridal Veil Falls.

We appreciated the design of the walkways and observation deck overlooking the vast area in and around Prairie du Chien. High elevation. Beautiful views!

We stopped for a break on our travels. I remember stopping here as a child and wanted to share with my wife and daughter. Great view of the area. Nice trails and facilities.

of course you can drive to pikes peak, there is no "hiking" to get to the overlook, more of a 2 minute walk from the parking lot to the overlook.
