We had a Perfect Day Trip to Fossil & Prairie Center in Rockford. Beautiful landscape with unique fossils. Local people are very friendly and very kind to visitors. Strongly Suggested

It is so easy to find fossils here. Bring a water bottle and a bag and wear jeans and hiking boots. That is all you need. My kids had a great time and we found over 100 Devonian fossils in a few hours.

Wife and I drove 3 hours one way and it was well worth every minute of the drive. We picked up more fossils than you can image, and left 1000 times more than we took. Awesome place but not really a good place for kids...More
