Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Tables not adequately distanced, or cleaned after use. No hand sanitizer in sight. Ice cream dispensed and handed to you by assistant not wearing gloves (or mask). Just a small piece of tissue partly wrapped around the cone which she holds and then passes on to you. Didn’t feel Covid safe-I wonder why. Ice cream was lovely but will not be returning.

Not a particularly friendly cafe and extremely busy. We had to wait 45 minutes for the food, which was nothing great, but the whole outside seating area was full of wasps. Not one or two, literally loads of them and once this is added to an average meal, long waiting times and a surly man behind the till,it makes it all rather forgettable.

Gorgeous little place! I booked a table for 25 for my sister’s 40th and from start to finish the experience was so wonderful! Booking was easy and when I needed to raise the number, the man emailing me was very kind and also informed me that we were booked in the conservatory (as I was worried about the weather). I pre-ordered some High Cream Teas and these were so yummy! Sadly we had cancellations and not the whole 25 people turned up but the staff were so kind to parcel up our leftovers into takeaway boxes. The staff were amazing and I don’t say this lightly! they helped us put decorations up at the beginning and came out with birthday cakes and so many other little touches! The food was delicious. Every single member of staff was so kind and helpful, nothing was too much for them. The Tea pot exhibition was so cute, it’s like Aladdin’s cave in there. Can’t believe I’d never been here before. We will definitely be returning again!
Huge Thank you to everyone at Teapot Island! You made my sister’s surprise 40th so lovely and memorable.
See you again soon!

4 of us in our 30s stopped here before and after walking the 10km medway valley loop. Hotchocs and coffees before which wee great then a mix of toasted sandwiches and soup with rolls on the way back. Great food, good vegan and veggie options and very reasonable priced. Has cold beer as well so. Always a bonus

Such a beautiful setting and garden area but I do feel that the cafe itself needed some love and attention, could be so nice with just a few tweaks.
We also didn’t like that fact that the man that served behind the counter kept sitting at the bench just outside the cafe smoking as we could smell the smoke.
The food wasn’t very well presented, all in all we felt like the usual staff must have been off today what with going by other peoples reviews.

Yalding is beautiful as is Tea pot Island after a long walk I stoped for an ice cream but went to the toilet first, while coming out the toilet the gentlemen who appeared to own the place felt the need to stat I can only use the toilet if a paying customer, I informed him I was buying an ice cream which response was by all means buy an ice cream but after you have purchased an Icecream… . Which has completely got my back up and I did not buy anything. In future be kinder to the public. Thanks

COVID, what COVID, no masks, no hand gel, no wiping downs tables.
Extremely rude loud man ( ultra thin one, who smokes).
No respect for fellow staff or customers.
Kept bellowing for the young girls to stop serving in the shop!
Did eat here and food was ok.

Bit of lunch here after a morning paddleboarding and canoeing on the Medway.
Okay, so 2 lots of ham, egg and chips at £12.95 each, and 2 lots of jacket potato with Chili at £8.95 each. The food was alright, but we thought it was overpriced. The ham appeared to be pre-sliced supermarket produce, and the chili was in a pot on the side, quite small and fairly bland. With drinks, the bill was nearly £60.

Great stop off for a coffee and snack and a look around the tea pot museum. I normally visit when I am having my classic mini MOT or service done at Orchard View Garage, helps pass the time. Great bacon rolls.

There was 15 of us and we was made to feel very welcome on arrival. Luke gave us the story behind tea pot island which was lovely, followed by lunch fro. The hard working staff. Food was brilliant and the eating area was vast. We then went into the tea pot museum which was amazing. So many different types of teapots from across the globe. For some of us it was a second time here and we will be back again. Thanks again J

hi just a quick question , is the teapot museum easy to find and is there parking near by. much appreciated your answers
Written 29 April 2018
There is parking on the main road but also a car park, but it wasn't open when we went there in March. It's pretty easy to find if you have a sat nav.

Sorry, not replied before but hadn't seen post. Tea Pot Island is in Yalding, near Maidstone, and a lovely small Tea Pot Museum, with about 8000 tea pots, from weenie to big, its very cute little musuem, so few at time is better, plus small fee to cover cost. Certainly worth a visit, it is cosy inside the musuem, people with walkers, and sticks is ok, but tight for wheelchair users but could do if careful, as on a flat.
Parking is normally in the field near by, so would have to cross the wooden bridge, or be dropped on road outside and then re park. There is a cafe with a choice of foods, good value and food good, plenty of outside seating and small play area for younger children, but limited seating inside at cafe.
Do hope this helps, and again sorry for late reply
