Three miles east of Worcester surrounded by glorious countryside and deer...

Three miles east of Worcester surrounded by glorious countryside and deer park lays one of Britain’s best-kept secrets. Spetchley is a garden for all tastes containing one of the biggest private collections of plant varieties outside the major botanical gardens. Spetchley is not a formal paradise of neatly manicured lawns or beds but rather a wondrous display of plants, shrubs and trees woven into a garden of many rooms and vistas. It is certainly an ever changing garden and one undergoing many changes. The Revival Project is in its infancy; a ten year project aimed at reviving Spetchley's wonderful legacy. Please follow us to see how we get on and come and visit to view this wonderful garden and watch its transformation.

Brought my parents along for another visit. We came in may the last time. Lovely afternoon and enjoyed a nice cup of tea in the cafe. Entrance £7 each but dad is registered disabled so a companion gets in free. 2 cappuccinos and 2 teas in cafe was £9

Always enjoy visiting the gardens. Visit a few times a year and always new vistas as plants flower and leaves change shades. Even on busy days can find somewhere secluded. The lake has been landscaped and a number of restoration projects going on which are now nearing completion. Staff are always helpful with questions as are members of the family... More

How anyone can visit this fantastic secret of Worcestershire in a couple of hours goodness ONLY knows - plan for a day and, either take two picnics or visit the tea room!! There are TWENTY NINE points of interest in over 30 acres to visit. If you take 5 minutes at each area, there goes 2 and a half hours... More

Thank you so much for your wonderful report. We have always prided ourselves on the fact that we are a garden for everyone and all seasons and you have confirmed that we are. Yes, there is so much to see here and still more is planned! It does take time to go around and we want visitors to spend as... More

After reading some less than complimentary reviews we were pleasantly surprised at the beauty of the gardens. My husband and toddler had a most enjoyable afternoon. It was like a magical secret garden, wild and glorious with paths to explore and fairy doors to find! We found it a perfect way to take in the late September sun and wished... More

My wife and I had rejoined HHA again( £75.00 ...visited 25 properties last year) this year and whilst we normally visit properties with buildings we decided to view Spetchley (free for HHA members) as it was not far away and close to a friend. We enjoyed our approx one hour stroll around the gardens and lake, plus the cakes in... More

A little-known, but probably up and coming garden which could do with patronage and financial support from more visitors - just as the Lost Gardens of Heligan started. Fortunately we had a satnav in the car, but even then, this garden did not reveal itself until we were nearly on top of it! Some further advanced signage would be helpful,... More

The entry hut and walkway set you up for a reasonably well maintained property, and indeed first impressions are good. We went straight for the tea room which is pricey but that's not unusual for these sorts of places. Coffee was great as was the caramel slice. The lake is really nice and makes a great picnic spot. We also... More

Just returned from a visit to Spetchley Park Gardens. The park is attractive and a pleasant way to spend time strolling around. However, any member of the NT will have seen similar if not better. The gardens were such a disappointment and sadly not well maintained. We thought that we would be visiting a garden of the standard of Hidcote... More

Thank you for your feedback. Spetchley is a charity and does not have the resources of the National Trust, as much as we would like to. As you will have seen it is a very big garden, much larger than Hidcote and many other NT gardens. It is also a completely different type of garden, being a garden of plant... More
