This zoo has come a long way over the years. There is nothing spectacular about this zoo but everything they have is handled very well. Lots of plants and flowers to look at along with the animals. It only takes about an hour to walk through if you take your time. If in Emporia, definitely worth the time to stop... More

My husband and I had a fabulous time at the Emporia Zoo last Friday. Although small it is packed with wonderful exhibits that kids of all ages will enjoy. One of the best parts is that you are able to get very close so observation is easy. Our grandkids would have loved seeing this. It is well shaded so even... More

The grounds are very well manicured with beautiful flowering plants. The animal habitats are neat and clean. The animals look very content. Great attraction in the small town of Emporia!

Small but amazing! Bobcat, fox, mountain lion, lemurs. Foliage is amazing. Great place to take lunch and escape.

It's a small zoo, but it has very nice exhibits and the horticulture is fantastic. They take a lot of pride in the facility. Kids really seem to have a great time.

This is a free, locally supported zoo that is one of the main attractions for the little town of Emporia. Well worth checking out if you have the time.

This place has everything from amazing animal exhibits to beautiful landscaping. The new bottle cap mural and the Madagascar exhibit are just simply wonderful. It is a true treasure for a smaller community like Emporia to have such a great zoo.

The gardens are simply beautiful...I often wish the animals were in their natural habitats and the zoo was just a botanical garden or a rescue park. The captive mountain lion will break your heart.

This zoo is extraordinary for a town the size of Emporia. There are wonderful exhibits through which to stroll. There is also an educational aspect to the zoo, which is available. Breaking News: there is a new lemur facility which houses 3 types of lemurs. Also, a female just gave birth to twin babies. Cute!

The zoo was fun and we were able to take our own pace to complete the visit in under an hour. A great place to take your kids or just enjoy good scenery.
