We stopped by the little gas station in Galena, KS to see Tow Mater and his friends. It was well worth the stop. The station was closed when we went, but still had fun taking pictures with the trucks. Cute little old-time town. Kids loved...More

For kids, adults and all Mater fans must go place. We met 2 of 4 women there, they were very friendly to us and told us the story how the Mater was inspiration for the Cars movies.

We stopped here on our Route 66 journey. Melba the Mouth came outside and started her speech as we were getting out of the car. Climbed in 'Tow Mater' to have our picture made. Lots of 'Cars' merchandise for sale. Great place to stop in!

Lovely photo op with Mater! Charming building and old cars. We are disappointed they were once again closed today. We were here in 2012 and again today and have not been able to catch the place open!
