Lovely Fall Walk

Tuesdays are free. It was mice to wander through the garden. Most areas were wheelchair friendly so we were able to take my elderly mother.

This is a beautiful scenic nature walk. All the flowers and trees are so pretty. You can take beautiful family pictures there no matter what time of the year it is.

Beautifully arranged. So many flowers and trees to look at. Has lots of scenery that would be great for pictures! Beautiful paths to walk. Kids were excited about the Enchanted Fairy Trail. We saw deer one time along the path.

The dictionary defines an Arboretum as "a place where trees or shrubs are cultivated for their scientific or educational interest." I define the Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens as a piece of paradise that is ever changing. It is the most relaxing place to "get away" close to home. Whether you spend 10 minutes or hours, the paved walkways... More

This is a beautiful hidden gem in the Kansas City area. The landscaping is beautiful. There are several fun things for kids to engage in. Beautiful trails in the woods and also paved trails if you have a stroller, small children, etc. The train depot is a lot of fun. Entry fee is reasonable. 179th St. is right off 69... More

Well worth a visit, probably one of the most interesting and curiosity enveloping places I've stopped by on a whim.

A lovely setting carefully tended. The Monet Garden and Pond is a work of art itself. This is a place that can be visited anytime of day, every day, and still provide a new experience. Like the plants it hosts, it has been carefully grown and continues to grow and please residents as well as visitors to the area.

Serene landscape, great for walking around or sitting on one of the neat benches, this arboretum is a fine choice year-round, but especially in fall.

We were on a tight schedule going through Kansas City but family took us for a flying whirlwind trip through the Botanical Garden and it was the highlight of our trip. We were here during the Japanese Festival, so it was super crowded, but soooo interesting. We will make another trip here just to be able to browse and enjoy... More
