Woodford State Park is lovely, great trails, swimming and nice camp sites for trailers and campers. The bathrooms are clean and bright. It is close to both Wilmington and Bennington and Manchester if you need civilization.

Camped at site 40, spacious and on water. Facilities were clean. Need quarters for showers. Appreciated that we could access the water wherever we preferred. Hike around the lake was nice. We rented paddle boards. The kids enjoyed catching salamanders but gave that up when...More

We camped for a week in site 18. The reservation website is great because you can view each individual site, and even get an idea of how big they are. Our site was fairly secluded, in that we didn't have a clear view of the...More

Although I only hiked here this was a very nice 400 acre park with campgrounds, scenic picnic areas and few hiking trails. I hiked the 2.7 mile trail which was mostly wooded with lots of ferns and occasional views of the reservoir. In the winter...More

Well I made a mistake with this one! I'm not much of a camper so I didn't really consider certain things when booking... so the campground is advertised as being the highest (in the area?) which means one thing- it's absolutely freezing! In August! We...More

We had a great secluded site (23) with a nice water view (but nowhere to set up chairs or anything). There was hardly anyone at the park, which was nice! We drove around to check out the other sites, and the ones that had grass...More

My 8-year-old and I took a train for 9 hours followed by a 5 hour car ride to get to Woodford State Park in Vermont. It was worth every bit of the trip. Given the season and the presence of a lake, I fully expected...More

This was a very clean and well kept State campground. Bathrooms were cleaned several times a day. The views of the lake are beautiful. The staff was kind and courteous. Just hiking around the campground was great exercise. They have canoes to rent and enjoy...More

Great campgrounds! Clean and beautiful higher altitude setting. Waterfront is especially lovely. Close to Bennington and Albany NY. Drawbacks... Only one shower in Restroom that you have to pay for but was never really crowded.
