You can spend a few minutes here or quite some time doing some hiking. Visually it's very striking, but could use some more interpretive plaques with more info. We picked up a small booklet at the local museum, about ten miles away, which really helped...More

Historic site of last encounter with Indians. Very cool canyon with nice places to take pictures. Brochure at entrance was informative.

Just off the road, this narrow canyon the Indians chose to have their 'last stand' looks innocent enough. The cave where the women and children were to be sheltered is not available unless you walk a bit. It;s worth the walk. Don't expect any facilities...More
